The City of Watertown is recruiting for a service oriented, efficient, dependable, and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Deputy Clerk/Treasurer in the Administration Department of the City. This position will provide skilled and professional work in in the utility billing function of the organization, provide support in the accounts receivable/payable, front end customer service for utility billing, municipal licensing and building permit issuance, administrative support to boards/commissions and City Administrator, and support the Clerk/Treasurer in the financial management and statutory clerk functions of the City. 

Must be 18 years of age; successfully complete aptitude testing covering areas outlined in the job description; ability to socially, physically, and mentally perform all essential functions under working conditions as described herein; possess strong public relations skills; ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language; maybe required to successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Ideal candidate will have experience in municipal accounting practices and utility billing functions.  Experience with Banyon software or similar financial management tools a plus. 

Full time, benefit eligible. Typical work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some evenings required.

Salary:  $38,614 - $48,223 annually, non-exempt. Starting salary will be dependent upon qualifications.
