The City of Watertown is currently engaged in a major update of its zoning ordinance, which is largely the original 1993 ordinance with many modifications
over the years. With the adoption in March 2009 of the new
Comprehensive Plan, the City must update the zoning ordinance to be consistent with the Plan.

Schedule
The revision process is designed to be incremental. The Planning Commission will act as the lead group for the Zoning Code revision. The
incremental drafting approach allows monthly reviews to maximize opportunity to review and understand the material. The
zoning code revision schedule is a
guideline to use in the revision process and can be as flexible as the Planning Commission deems necessary.
