The City installed new hockey boards on November 1st 2008 just in time for the hockey season. As the wind was blowing, the
winter weather seemed to be knocking at the door. The boards were purchased from Becker Arena Products out of Burnsville. The boards
are a new product developed by Sports Resource Group in Minneapolis. There were able to assist the City to install the boards as many
people came together for this community build. The inside of the rink is also paved to capture year-round recreational activities
including roller hockey and eventually basketball hoops will also be installed. The leisure rink has been expanded and additional
lighting will be installed. Look for a permanent warming house next spring. So put on your skates and let's play! See you out
at the rink!
